Meet Mattea

Spokane-based stylist, coach, & extension wizard

When your inner world is reflected outwardly, a different kind of beauty radiates—one that’s authentic, untamed, and deeply yours. I believe that kind of beauty is a birthright.

I’ve been behind the chair since 2015, helping clients reclaim their confidence, identity, and expression through personalized hair artistry. As a Spokane native and Gonzaga grad, my path into hair was always about more than style—it’s about transformation, embodiment, and feeling at home in yourself.

I specialize in luxury hair extensions that blend seamlessly and feel like your own. Whether you’re seeking volume, length, or complete hair revival, I custom match and apply extensions with intention and artistry.

Every appointment is client-led and professionally guided. As a certified coach, I bring compassion, humor, and presence to each session—because hair is ritual, and you deserve to be seen in your fullest self.

A little about my hair journey

I have always been enchanted by long hair. I am a certified extension addict. I have tried almost every kind of hair extension available in the last 18 years.

I was born with fine brittle hair that cannot be colored and reaches its growth maximum right below my collar bone.

Unfortunately, the only hair I desire is long hair (think Demi Moore). I understand the feeling of everything being “off” in your world when your hair is not to the standards you hold for it. Whether it be length, texture, density, or damage.

I learned the hard way when I bleached my hair and had it break off into almost a pixie. So short extensions couldn’t help!

Yikes.

This began my journey to find my very first wig (Roxy, is her name).

I went to a showroom in New York City because I could not find anything high quality and local.

I still remember the feeling of walking into the mirrored room after she was tailored to fit my head. I began to cry. Finally seeing the woman I had always pictured in my mind, but never could catch in the mirror. It was surreal. I WAS ME, FINALLY!

My tragic "almost pixie"...

Getting fitted for my first wig "Roxy" when everything changed.  And yes, this is me crying.

Since that moment, my sense of style and sense of self has had a stronger foundation. I feel more at peace in my body and in my life choices. My confidence is boosted and I have been able to take on personal challenges that I never thought possible.

I understand the impact your outward appearance has on your inner world—when you feel confident in your hair, it shifts how you carry yourself, how you show up in the world, and even how you speak your mind.

It is important to me to break the stigma of wig wearing and hair loss/recovery. There is no need to be ashamed or self conscious of your hair or the hair you choose to adorn. Hey! It’s YOUR hair- you bought it!

Now I am at a place in my life where I can sustain my “best look” with a few rows of 22” inch genius weft extensions.

It’s a good life.
